By

What are peanut butter cups?

Peanut butter cups are chocolate cups filled with peanut butter.

History of Reese's.

Reese's were created in 1928 by Harry Burnett Reese. He was a former dairy farmer and shipping foreman for Milton S. Hershey. He gave up being a dairy farmer to become a candy maker and open up his own candy shop. He established the H.B. Reese Candy Co. in his basement in the town of Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Reese had so much success with Reese's, he discontinued his other candies.

Then, in 1963, several years after Reese died, the company was sold to Hershey's for $23.5 million.

Today, the H.B. Reese's co. is maintained as a subsidiary of Hershey's due to the face that Reese's plant workforce is not unionized.

Ingredients

Reese's are made from Hershey's chocolate and peanut butter.
